DEN Certified Builder Network

A certified builder for your DEN. State by state.

DEN engineers and manufactures the prefab kit. On the ground, a certified partner — an independent, licensed general contractor — runs your build from foundation to final walkthrough.

The Certification

What is a certified builder?

An accomplished general contractor in their own right — vetted by DEN, trained on our prefab system, and backed by our name.

Independent & licensed

Every partner is a full-service, licensed GC in their region — not a franchise, not a subcontractor.

Trained on the DEN system

DEN trains and guides every partner on our prefab assembly system before they ever run a build.

Kit to keys

Your certified partner isn't limited to kit assembly — they run your project from foundation to final walkthrough.

The Path

How do I connect with a certified builder?

Builder introductions come with Feasibility. Once you've purchased a Feasibility Package, we introduce you to the certified partner in your region — a builder trained on the DEN prefab system.

01

Start with Feasibility

We study your land, budget, and local requirements before you commit to anything — and this is what unlocks your builder introduction. The fee credits forward toward your prefab manufacturing contract.

02

Meet your certified builder

With Feasibility underway, we introduce you to the certified partner in your region — trained on the DEN prefab system, ready to talk through your build.

Meet the builders →

03

Build with confidence

Your builder prices the construction, DEN manufactures your kit, and both stay at the table from foundation to final walkthrough — one team, no handoffs.

FAQ

Common questions.

There's no certified partner in my state — can I still build a DEN?

Yes. DEN homes have been built in 48 states, most without a certified partner nearby. Every DEN plan is designed to be priced, permitted, and built by any licensed local contractor — your engineer stamps the plans for your jurisdiction, and your builder builds. Go the prefab route and the DEN team trains and guides your builder through assembly, wherever you are. The certified network is prefab partners we've vetted and stand behind — never a limit on where you can build.

Do I have to use the certified partner in my state?

No. Your build, your builder. Certified partners are there because they make things easier — not because they're required. Plenty of DEN owners build with their own trusted GC.

Does DEN build my home?

No — DEN designs and manufactures the plans and prefab kits; an independent, licensed contractor builds on site. That's exactly what certified partners are for: builders who can take a DEN from foundation to final walkthrough.

Who quotes my project — DEN or the builder?

Your builder quotes the construction. DEN's costs — plans, feasibility, prefab kits — are published on our site, so you always know what the DEN side costs before a builder ever prices the labor.

When is a certified partner coming to my state?

The network is expanding state by state through 2026. If you're building sooner, you don't need to wait — see the first question. And if you know a builder we should talk to, nominate them.

I'm a GC — what does becoming a certified partner involve?

An application, a conversation, and onboarding onto DEN's prefab assembly system and the tools we run the network on — including Fasten, the estimating platform that powers instant pricing on DEN designs. If you're an independent, licensed contractor who treats building science as the baseline, apply below.

Do certified partners get their region exclusively?

Yes — certification is territorial. One certified partner per region, so your investment in the network is protected.

For Builders

Are you a licensed GC who builds the way we do?

DEN is expanding its certified builder partner network state by state. If you're an independent, licensed general contractor who treats building science as the baseline, not an upgrade, we want to talk.

Apply to Become a Partner

Every certified builder partner is an independent, licensed general contractor working in their own region. DEN engineers and manufactures the prefab kits — your certified partner, a licensed general contractor in their own region, runs the build on site.
