Nordic House Glamping
Set on 14 acres of forest and lakefront in the Western Maine Mountains, Nordic House Glamping is a boutique outdoor retreat featuring three modern cabin rentals designed for year-round adventure and deep relaxation. Built using DEN’s cabin plans, the project balances comfort and minimalism, offering guests a private basecamp with access to outdoor amenities like a cedar sauna, cold plunge, paddle boards, fire pits, and more. Whether guests are skiing at Sunday River or unwinding lakeside, Nordic House delivers a premium, nature-immersive experience—proving that small-scale, high-impact glamping resorts can thrive in all seasons.

"We launched Nordic House Glamping, a luxury, all-season glamping hotel in November 2024 with three customized DEN Alpine cabins. The response has been amazing and bookings have far surpassed anything we could have hoped for in our first year open! With so much interest in our current 3 cabins, we are thrilled to be expanding our business and will be breaking ground on our fourth cabin, using DEN's prefab package, in September."

Live Oak Lake
Located just outside Waco, Texas, Live Oak Lake is a boutique hospitality retreat featuring seven Nordic-influenced cabins, inspired by DEN’s Modern Alpine Plus construction-ready plans. The project began in 2021 with five acres of raw, wooded land that was transformed into a highly successful short-term rental destination. Each cabin is thoughtfully positioned around a private lake and connected by wooded trails that lead to a shared event space—ideal for weddings, retreats, and group gatherings. The result: 94% average occupancy, strong net margins, and a scalable business model that attracted significant attention from both travelers and investors.

An overview of the 7 cabins that comprise Live Oak Lake.

“I’ve been inspired by DEN’s designs since day one. So I purchased a few of them and they influenced our approach to building out Live Oak Lake. Whether you're a first-time developer or a seasoned pro, DEN's plans are a great starting point for a design-forward short-term rental or hospitality endeavor.”

High Camp
Perched in the scenic Highlands of North Carolina, High Camp is a boutique mountain escape featuring three Scandinavian‑inspired DEN cabins that merge effortlessly with the surrounding forest while offering modern comforts and even welcoming four‑legged guests. Crafted using DEN’s Modern Alpine cabin plans, this project demonstrates how thoughtfully designed cabin systems can elevate both guest experience and operational efficiency.
In collaboration with DEN, High Camp optimizes layout and material usage to create a fast, scalable model—delivering stylish, off-grid-ready cabins with minimal build complexity. These cabins maximize natural light and space, embrace rugged comfort, and maintain streamlined utility for short-term rental markets

"As a developer creating a boutique short-term rental community in Highlands, North Carolina, I wanted home designs with clean lines, architectural appeal, and a modern feel that wouldn’t take away from the natural beauty of the area. DEN delivered exactly that.
We’ve built three DEN homes at High Camp so far, with plans for up to 30 on the property—the next will be an A-Frame. The DEN plans are clear, efficient, and easy to build from, which keeps the process moving.
What really sets DEN apart is their support. When I needed to make changes to the plans to fit our site and style, they worked with me every step of the way. It was a real collaboration, not just a vendor relationship."

Stardust Big Bend
Minutes from Big Bend National Park and the Terlingua Ghost Town, Stardust Big Bend is a boutique desert retreat built around modern A-Frame Weekender cabins designed for high-impact guest experiences and effortless relaxation. Each cabin sleeps up to four (with an optional fifth), and includes a bedroom, living area with sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and full bathroom. Outdoor living is a highlight—wrap-around decking, a fire pit for world-class stargazing, hammocks, and a shaded pergola lounge—while a shared clubhouse adds family-friendly amenities (arcades, billiards, air hockey, board games) for post-adventure downtime. Proximity to park entrances, outfitters, and dining keeps stays convenient; the design and amenity mix make this an excellent blueprint for an A-Frame cabin resort or short-term rental development in destination markets.

An overview of Stardust Big Bend, replete with it's 10 DEN A-Frame Weekenders, and 1 Modern Cabin.

"We launched our 12-cabin mini-resort in 2023. Working with DEN was a pleasure as they accommodated our customizations to their stunning A-Frames. The Weekender design was perfect for us because it is not too big, but not too small either. We also built DEN's Modern Cottage, which is equally appealing for families. I would highly recommend DEN to anyone considering a multi-unit development like ours".
- Yasir, owner & operator of Stardust Big Bend
